Lisa Ann McCall -- in search of body balance
December 1, 2002

Lisa Ann McCall has spent years studying people all over the world and how they move.

"You have 50 and 60 year old ditch diggers in places like Afghanistan and Turkey and women who walk miles carrying a day's water supply on their heads," she said, "Americans don't put nearly that type of stress on our systems, and we complain of back problems all the time."

She says that so many back surgeries fail because they only address the pain, not the source of the pain.

Her body balance classes have helped people realize that many physical ailments can be attributed to poor posture and resulting weakened muscle groups-creating muscle imbalances.
