Interviews from the hp houston marathon
January 20, 2003

by Lance Phegley

Post Race Press Conference
Includes comments from top finishers including Sean Wade, Albina Gallyamova, Lambros Zaragas, Madeline Tormoen, Scott Strand, Beth Old, Joe Flores, Barbara Stoll, and Ramiro Bermudez.

Sean Wade -- men's marathon winner
Sean Wade led the 2003 hp houston marathon for only one mile -- the last one. Wade recaps his come-from-behind victory, his thoughts during the race, and his training program leading up to the event.

Albina Gallyamova -- women's marathon winner
With the exception of a brief period in the middle of the race, Albina Gallyamova led the 2003 hp houston marathon wire-to- wire. She provides insight into her training and racing, including upcoming race plans.

Madeline Tormoen -- women's marathon runner- up
At every race Madeline Tormoen runs, she's probably the only runner with a defibrillator. Tormoen, who finished second at the 2003 hp houston marathon, talks about her race, her progress since having the defibrillator installed, plus looks back at her career as a world-class duathlete.
