The Cowtown Marathon Board of Directors announced recently that the 2004 Cowtown Marathon, Marathon Relay, 10K & 5K Runs, to be held on February 28, will relocate to Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth.

All new courses will be created and certified with the start and finish lines at Sundance Square. Race Director Jim Gilliland said, "After 25 years the races continue to grow, and this new venue gives us a great opportunity to accommodate that growth. We look forward to a successful partnership with Downtown Fort Worth and Sundance Square."

The Cowtown Marathon has for 25 years been a non-profit event promoting health and fitness for all ages and families in the greater Fort Worth community. In addition it provides the running community with a USA Track & Field sanctioned event in which to compete at a high level and an opportunity to qualify for participation in the prestigious Boston Marathon.

The Cowtown Marathon is presented by Bank One, Miller Brewing Co. Fort Worth, Osteopathic Health System of Texas, Star Telegram and the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth.
