Runners kick off Turkey Day at GE Run Thru the Woods

Thousands of runners from all across Texas will kick off their
Thanksgiving festivities by participating in the GE Run Thru
the Woods run and walk. The annual Thanksgiving charity event
features a competitive five-mile run, a new teen three-mile
run, and the always popular three-mile walk and one-mile kids
run.The activities will be staged at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell
Pavilion in The Woodlands, just north of Houston, on November
22. The 18th Annual GE Run thru the Woods is an annual race/walk
fundraiser designed for all ages, all levels of fitness and
running skills. The event benefits youth charities of South
Montgomery County. More than 4500 participants are expected at
the 2007 event. Cash awards for the overall top three finishers
in the five-mile race, male and female. All three runs are chip
timed. New this year . . . complimentary pancake breakfast
